Inspiring Career Transformations

Cody McHone Cody didn't start his career with a master plan. He knew he was good with people and was initially drawn to law enforcement. After working at the Kansas Department of Corrections, he realized it was not what he wanted long-term. A mentor recommended human resources. At the time, Cody laughed it off. A few years after joining Koch as a security officer, Cody was pursuing an HR role. He wanted to stay at Koch and eventually landed a recruiting position at Koch Ag & Energy Solutions. Using his natural gifts and talents along with the support of his supervisors, Cody continued to advance into broader HR leadership roles. Today, Cody leads the LIFT team, which provides global real estate solutions and advisory and facilities management services for Koch businesses.

Gatik Leads the Way in Fully Driverless Commercial Truck Deliveries

Nearly 24-hours a day, Gatik fully autonomous box trucks are now on the roads safely delivering their cargo without a human driver. The Koch Disruptive Technologies’ portfolio company is now the first in North America to deploy full driverless trucks in commercial operations at scale. “Autonomous trucking is no longer a promise. It’s a business,” said Gautam Narang, CEO and co-founder of Gatik. “With more than $600 million in contracted revenue, Gatik has proved that autonomous trucking is not only possible but commercially viable.” Getting to this point hasn’t been easy, but after many years of development, Gatik is now ready to begin rapidly scaling its operations. It currently has 10 fully autonomous trucks performing driverless deliveries in the Dallas-Ft. Worth region of Texas, the Phoenix metro area in Arizona and in Northwest Arkansas. Narang says they’ll expand to 60 trucks early this year. The successful deployment of commercial-scale operations marks the beginning of a new era for autonomous trucking, moving the technology beyond limited trial and testing operations to serving real customers. Gatik is focused on serving so-called middle-mile trucking routes which connect retailers with their warehouses and distribution centers. A major factor in the successful deployment is Gatik’s ongoing partnership and collaboration with Isuzu Motors Limited which includes Gatik integrating its SAE Level 4 autonomous driving system into Isuzu medium-duty truck platforms. “This represents an important step in bringing autonomous driving technologies into commercial logistics operations,” said Hiroshi Sato, senior executive officer and vice president, engineering division, Isuzu Motors Limited. “Through our collaboration with Gatik, Isuzu is contributing reliable vehicle platforms to support this progress and continuing preparations for future autonomous-ready vehicle programs.” Since launching freight-only operations in mid-2025, Gatik has completed 60,000 fully driverless orders without incident, helping customers meet the growing demand for safe, reliable and cost-efficient freight capacity while addressing persistent driver shortages. Check out Gatik’s LinkedIn page to stay up to date on the latest developments. Koch’s Continual Transformation

On behalf of the board of directors and shareholders, we are pleased to announce changes in our name and corporate structure that better fit our current businesses and vision for the future. We are no longer only an industrial company, but also a company involved in technology of all kinds. These changes build on our recent organizational announcements and better reflect our transformation over the past six decades from a small family firm into one of the largest privately held companies operating through a highly diverse set of businesses. As a result, Koch, Inc., will be our new top-level holding company and Koch Companies, LLC, will be a new financially rated entity and a subsidiary of Koch, Inc. Koch Companies, LLC, will hold Koch Industries, and the subsidiaries historically owned by Koch Industries. We expect these changes to be effective during the third quarter of this year. Our new name and structure will help us improve the application of our principle-based framework, continually transforming for the benefit of our company, our employees, our customers and people throughout society.

Koch’s Season of Giving campaign also provides employees with the opportunity to donate to Simply Hygiene — an organization that focuses on distributing hygiene products to those in need, as these items are not typically covered by government assistance. Koch employees donated more than 26,000 items. About 245 employees donated their time and resources to the Angel Tree and Simply Hygiene campaigns this year. “Koch supports employees in finding fulfillment both at work and in the community, encouraging them to share their heart and passion beyond the workplace,” said Shea Griffin, Koch community affairs manager.
