Workforce development
Everyone deserves the chance to build a meaningful career, but opportunities aren’t always easily accessible. That’s why we support efforts that help people gain in-demand skills, especially in the skilled trades and other high-opportunity fields. From hands-on training to career readiness programs, we’re investing in initiatives that open doors, build confidence and help individuals contribute in ways that benefit both them and their communities.

Community enrichment
When people feel connected to where they live — and to each other — everyone benefits. We support efforts that make communities stronger and more vibrant, with a focus on local needs and long-term results. That includes investing in housing, neighborhood revitalization, public spaces, staple community attractions, the arts and other initiatives that help people feel safe, supported and empowered to contribute.

Koch Pro Bono Initiative
Discover how Koch employees are providing free legal assistance, such as record expungements and restoring driver's licenses, as well as case review support for Innocence Projects across the United States.
Working together for stronger outcomes
Making a difference doesn’t happen in isolation. It takes strong partnerships with shared values and a commitment to helping people improve their lives. We’re proud to work alongside nonprofits, community organizations and other partners who bring deep expertise and local insight to the work we do together.
Our grants provide educators professional learning to teach computer science through Code.org, a nonprofit dedicated to making computer science education accessible to more K-12 students.
Since 2008, we’ve donated more than $6 million in essential goods to this humanitarian organization that provides consumer products and supplies for emergencies and disaster relief.
Our partnership with Empower provides educational, business development and family support opportunities to a largely Hispanic community located in Wichita, Kansas.
Founded by Liz and Charles Koch to support and empower teachers, Empowered’s community and methodology are dedicated to transforming classrooms, careers and communities
We partner with organizations like FIRST Robotics to support a robotics competition that pairs students with real-world engineering experiences.
We’ve contributed more than 70,000 volunteer hours and $1.5 million to build more than 35 homes. All to help remove barriers to opportunity for the most vulnerable.
Our partnership with the mikeroweWORKS Foundation helps support programs teaching job skills that prepare students for success, including an emphasis on work-ethic education.
Our partnership with Phillips Fundamental Learning Center helps empower children with dyslexia — and the parents and educators who support them — with proven literacy tools and resources.
Our partnership with Teach for Mexico helps expand access to quality education and reduce inequality in schools across Mexico.
Through partnerships with WSU Tech and the FutureMaker Lab, we help prepare students for in-demand careers. At WSU Tech, students gain hands-on training and education that lead directly to career opportunities. With the FutureMaker Lab — a collaboration between WSU Tech and Goodwill Industries — students across Kansas explore STEM careers through mobile labs and interactive technology.

Supporting STEM
From hands-on experiments to robotics competitions, Koch is helping spark curiosity and grow confidence in science, technology, engineering and math. We fund classroom grants for schools in need, support events like STEAM City and the SWE Engineering Expo, partner with college campuses to promote STEM career paths and volunteer our time to mentor students exploring STEM pathways.
